OK. I'll admit it. I voted for Taylor Hicks to win Season Five of American Idol, which makes speaking to him such an honor. Yes. Taylor won American Idol, and is the reason for being in our Feature of "TV and the Blues". However, Taylor has moved onward and upward from that night. His most recent CD, "The Distance", puts him with the company of Doyle Bramhall Jr. and Nathan East.
